It’s that time of year when American’s celebrate Thanksgiving. The Bible has a number of verses that mention thanks:

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:18

“Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name.” – 1 Chronicles 29:13

“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” – Colossians 3:18

“Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.” – Ephesians 5:20

“The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart exults, And with my song I shall thank Him.” – Psalm 28:7

“From them with come songs of thanksgiving and the sound of rejoicing. I will add to their numbers, and they will not be decreased; I will bring them honor, and they will not be disdained.”
